No New Staff, No New Cars, Govt Extends Austerity For FY27

The federal government has decided to continue austerity measures during the current fiscal year as part of its efforts to contain public spending and improve fiscal discipline.

Sources told ProPakistani that the federal cabinet has approved an extension of the cost-cutting measures, following which the Cabinet Division has forwarded the decision to the Ministry of Finance for implementation.

All federal government posts that have remained vacant for the past three years will be abolished. The government will also continue its ban on creating new posts during the current fiscal year.
