The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has announced new opportunities for candidates who want to join as Commissioned Officers in different branches.
According to the advertisement, online registration will start on 22 July 2026 and will continue until 03 August 2026. Candidates can apply through the official PAF website.
PAF has announced vacancies under both Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission / Special Purpose Short Service Commission (SSC/SPSSC). Candidates must have a NADRA Smart Card to apply.
Courses and Branches
Under the Permanent Commission, candidates can apply for:
- 162 General Duty Pilot Course
- 108 Aeronautical Engineering Course
- 118 Air Defence Course
- 37 Admin and Special Duties Course
- 10 Logistics Course
Under the Short Service Commission, applications are open for:
- 138 Education Branch
- 138 Engineering Branch
- 138 Accounts Branch
- 138 IT Branch
Eligibility Criteria
For most Permanent Commission courses, the age limit is 16 to 22 years on 15 April 2027. Candidates must be unmarried and should meet the required educational, physical, and medical standards.
Applicants for PC courses must generally have at least 65% marks in F.Sc, A-Level, DAE, or an equivalent qualification in the relevant subjects.
For SSC branches, the age limit is mostly 20 to 26 years or 20 to 29 years, depending on the branch. Candidates with relevant degrees in Education, Engineering, Accounts, IT, Computer Science, Management Sciences, English, Psychology, Mathematics, and related fields can apply.
Selection Process
The selection process will begin with online registration on the PAF website.
Candidates will first appear in an intelligence test, followed by an academic test in relevant subjects. After that, initial medical examination and interview will be conducted at PAF Information and Selection Centres.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for ISSB, followed by final medical examination and final selection by Air Headquarters.
How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply online through the official website joinpaf.gov.pk from 22 July to 03 August 2026.
After registration, candidates must visit their selected PAF Information and Selection Centre on the date mentioned on the registration slip.
Applicants should bring their original CNIC or Form B, educational certificates, recent photographs, and other required documents at the time of the initial test.
