Pakistan’s left-handed opener Saim Ayub has been named among seven overseas players signed by the Jamaica Kingsmen for this year’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL), which is scheduled to run from August 7 to September 20.
Saim Ayub, who has represented Pakistan in 67 T20 internationals, will be joined by his compatriots Usman Khan, Hunain Shah and Maaz Sadaqat.
The overseas signings also include Hassan Khan and Shayan Jahangir, who played alongside Ayub for Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Hyderabad Kingsmen. The team finished as the runner-up in this year’s tournament.
Pakistan’s 19-year-old batter Tayyab Arif has also joined the Jamaica Kingsmen. He was part of the Hyderabad franchise during the PSL 2026 season.
The seven overseas players will join Andre Russell in the Jamaica squad. The new franchise finalized its local lineup after being given the opportunity to recruit leading local players without facing competition in the draft.
The Jamaica-based franchise is making its CPL comeback after a two-year absence following the franchise’s acquisition by Fawad Sarwar-owned Kingsmen Sports Enterprise.
The Kingsmen will play the opening match of CPL 2026 against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown on August 7.
