Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that he will begin teaching in government schools under a new initiative launched on the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Speaking about the initiative, the minister said English and Chemistry are his favorite subjects and that he plans to teach both in schools across the province.
“English and Chemistry are my favorite subjects, and I will begin teaching them,” Rana Sikandar Hayat said. He added that he will teach English in primary schools and Chemistry in high schools.
The minister said he will also teach other subjects whenever needed. He announced that he will start taking classes in the first week of September. He said he will visit a different school every week without prior notice to conduct lessons.
Rana Sikandar Hayat said he has great respect for teachers and considers it an honor to teach students.
He explained that the initiative aims to identify problems in government schools and evaluate teaching standards firsthand. He said direct interaction with teachers and students will help the government introduce meaningful reforms and address shortcomings in the education system.
