Honor’s Next Phone Could Have One of The Biggest Batteries Yet

Honor has teased the launch of a new X-series smartphone, the Honor X80 Pro Max, while also marking a major milestone for the lineup.

The company confirmed that the device will be unveiled later this month, giving users an early look at what could be one of Honor’s most ambitious mid-range smartphones yet.

X-Series Milestone

Alongside the teaser, Honor announced that its X-series has crossed 130 million users worldwide.

The lineup has built its name around durability and reliability, and the upcoming Honor X80 Pro Max appears to follow the same direction.

Design And Display

According to recent leaks, the Honor X80 Pro Max is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2788 x 1280 pixels.

The phone is also tipped to come with a flagship-inspired design.

It could be launched in Lightning Red, Black, White, and Orange color options.

Internals And Software

The Honor X80 Pro Max is said to be powered by the all-new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.

The base model is expected to feature 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage.

Like recent Honor phones, the device will run MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.

Cameras

For photography, the Honor X80 Pro Max may come with a 50-megapixel rear camera.

Honor has not yet revealed the full camera details of the device.

Battery And Durability

One of the biggest rumored upgrades is the phone’s 11,000mAh battery, which would make it one of the largest batteries on a mainstream smartphone.

The device is also expected to support 90W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging.

Reports suggest that the phone will come with comprehensive water and dust resistance.

It is also expected to feature a reinforced chassis designed to handle accidental drops and rough daily use.

Pricing And Availability

Honor has not announced the official specifications or pricing of the X80 Pro Max yet.

More details are expected when the phone is formally unveiled later this month.

The global version of the device is likely to carry the Honor Magic 9 Lite name. However, there is a possibility that it may come with a smaller battery than the X80 Pro Max.
