The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially unveiled the latest design model for the revamped National Stadium Karachi, confirming a major infrastructure upgrade backed by a Rs. 4 billion development plan.
As part of the project, the PCB has signed a contract with the National Engineering Services Pakistan (Pvt) Limited (NESPAK) for the construction of a new state-of-the-art enclosure at the iconic venue.
The redesigned structure aims to bring the stadium in line with modern international standards and significantly improve the match-day experience for fans, broadcasters, and players.
According to the released concept images, the new enclosure will feature:
- Modern seating arrangements with improved sightlines
- Dedicated VIP boxes for corporate and premium guests
- Upgraded media areas to cater to local and international broadcasters
- Enhanced accessibility, including better entry and exit routes for spectators
The Board of Governors has recently approved a second phase of renovation at National Bank Stadium Karachi to follow after the conclusion of the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11), while also clearing a new Oval‑style redevelopment of Lahore’s LCCA Ground.
The PCB has also moved ahead with plans for a brand-new international‑standard stadium in Islamabad, with land allocated near D‑12 and a design inspired by top venues in the UAE.
Alongside that, Abbottabad and Muzaffarabad grounds are being prioritized for major upgrades for the first time, with the idea of spreading high‑quality cricket infrastructure beyond the traditional big‑city centers and building a more balanced national venue map.

Pathetic
Instead of revamp this stadium, the should shift it to some other place, as it is causing big problems for public, during critical matches security measures,
National stadium Karachi has poor visibility due to pillars all around the ground if not removed there will be no impact on viewers even you equipped it with state of the art facilities.
