Man orders iPhone 13 Pro Max, Gets Cadbury Chocolate Bars Instead

An Apple customer from the UK was infuriated upon receiving chocolate bars wrapped in toilet paper instead of the latest and the greatest iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Man orders iPhone and gets Chocolates instead

Danial Caroll, the man who ordered iPhone 13 Pro Max from the Online Apple Store worth £1,000 (Rs. 1 lac) was completely heartbroken upon unwrapping the parcel to find Two Cadbury Chocolate bars. He had been keeping track of the iPhone 13 Pro Max after the delivery was delayed by 2 weeks. After weeks of waiting, he decided to visit the DHL Warehouse in West Yorkshire himself to pick up his package.

Caroll, being a logistics worker, had his suspicions regarding the parcel as he noticed that the tape had been tampered with. But feeling some weight, he decided to let go of his suspicions and opened the parcel. He was devastated and horrified to find two 120g Dairy Milk Oreo Chocolates instead of the latest phone from Apple.

Here’s what happened

Caroll, after the shocking revelation, took to Twitter and said:

After a long weekend of a brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max being stuck in @DHLParcelUK network, failing any delivery attempt Friday-Sun, I finally picked up the parcel yesterday from DHL Leeds to find the package tampered with and the new phone (Christmas present) replaced with this.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max was supposed to be a Christmas present and having been scammed left the man disappointed and infuriated.

He further added:

When I got home I could tell the box had been tampered with as the tape was quite loose, but because I could feel some weight I just opened it. Inside there was a cheap industrial toilet roll, which stunk, and two bars of Dairy Milk Oreo in there

Caroll also shared pictures of Chocolate Bars wrapped in stinking toilet paper along with his tweet.

In response to the complaint, the DHL Parcel tweeted:

The DHL Parcel company, taking notice of Daniel Caroll’s complaint, got in touch with the reporter and is in process of having the problem sorted out. However, this is not the first time that a courier company has misplaced the online purchased goods, there are many such cases out there.
