Burger Chain Renames The Items On Its Menu As Office Supplies

A Burger Chain In Toronto Renames Food As Office Supplies

A Toronto-based burger chain has come up with an interesting idea to charge their burgers as office expenses. This is probably the first time that someone has had this audacity! Burgers are the one thing that we can never get enough of. The soft buns and the juicy patties capture our hearts every time. A fast-food chain in Toronto tried to help its customers by renaming the items on the menu as office supplies. This fast-food chain called The Good Fortune Burger came forward with a limited-edition menu called #RECEATS. The customers can now charge the expense for the burgers to the office. The customers of The Good Fortune Burger are rejoicing at this idea.

This menu was originally launched in 2021. It is however surfacing on the internet once again, leaving the people fascinated and confused at the same time. The burgers on the menu of this restaurant have been renamed to be captured on the invoice. The “Fortune Burger” named as “Basic Steel Stapler” and the “Parm Fries” being called “CPU Wireless Mouse” is cracking up the customers. Other office supply names that have been used in the menu include silicone keyboard covers, HDMI cables, wired earphones, laptop stands, etc. The invoices therefore can be used as official expenses and the employer can be charged for that!

The Purpose Of The Idea

This extraordinary idea was a complete hit. The foodies online clearly just needed a reason to indulge in their favorite food. The idea also received criticism from some people who stated that the items listed on the menu were a one-time purchase. Jon Purdy who is the Director of Operations at the burger chain said that the campaign was only intended to spread some cheer (which it definitely did). Purdy further said, “We just wanted an opportunity to put a smile on some people’s faces and let them have a little bit of a giggle. There’s no malice intended in it, it’s all just fun and games”.
