Islamabad Taste 2021 Postponed Due to Nationwide Petrol Strike

The 2021 installment of Islamabad Taste, the famed food festival of the capital city, has been postponed due to the nationwide petrol strike announced for 25th Nov.

Last Sunday, the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) had announced a countrywide strike on November 25 over complaints of “low-profit margins”.

The postponement of the food festival was announced on Islamabad Taste’s social media channels. “Due to countrywide petrol strike on 25th November 2021 Taste team has decided to move festival dates to avoid unnecessary inconvenience,” the post read.

The new dates of the Islamabad Taste are Dec 3-5, 2021, while the venue remains unchanged i.e. the Jinnah Convention Center. The original dates of the festival were Nov 26-28, 2021.

The event, one of the city’s most awaited food gatherings, brings people together because of their shared love for food and music. This year too, the platform is bringing some of the most popular eateries and artists together.

Some of the famous restaurants to be a part of this event are Chickachino, Mindanos, Pappasallis, Cheezious, Tandoori, and others. Ambrosia Bakers, Sugar Bee, D & M’s Bakeworld along with others will have their dessert stalls. Aima Baig, Asim Azhar, and Surj RDB will be entertaining the visitors with their melodious and rockstar performances.
