Pakistani extremists are being defamed every day for their hatred towards other religions and minorities. The situation has been recently amplified as a worker at Delizia bakery in Karachi refused to write “Merry Christmas “on a cake. The worker did so stating that it is an “order from the kitchen”. The customer Celestia Naseem expressed her disappointment for this unprofessional and unethical behavior at the Khayaban-e-Jami branch of the well-known confectionery. The Karachi incident became a cause of many misunderstandings and a huge disappointment among the nation.
Auntie Munaver is another bakery in Karachi that has shown the same behavior. The people are raising their voices on social media platforms to boycott these bakeries. There was an immediate backlash against Delizia and Auntie Munaver.
Social Media Backlash
People expressed their shock and sorrow and many stated that the Pakistanis can never get over their religious biases.

World going to mars

Please explain.
Are Christians lesser Pakistanis that they cannot be served or are popular bakeries just for Muslims? It's just a cake!
It's clear discrimination & should be called out.Delizia has made an excuse that they ran out of icing.

Response From Delizia Bakery And Auntie Munaver
When the call center of Delizia was contacted, at first, there was no satisfactory response from them. They claimed that they were, in no way authorized to comment on the issue. Resultantly, they provided the contact number of the Jami branch. Upon contact, the staff at the Jami branch refused to acknowledge the incident. They said that it is impossible that any such incident could have happened. Not only that, but the staff also refused to give the branch manager’s number. This led to further outrage among the people.
This outcry prompted the Delizia bakery to give a response in order to clear the air. Thus, the bakery management expressed their grief at the occurrence of such an incident. The officials stated that this was a personal-level bias. So, the company is not responsible for this. The company stated that religious biases and discrimination against minorities are strictly against the company’s policies. In addition to that, the bakery management further stated that the incident took place due to a lack of awareness and education. Unlike Delizia bakery, the staff and management at Auntie Munaver did not even bother to respond to the incident.
Impacts Of The Karachi Incident
These incidents are shameful not only for the bakeries but also for the nation as a whole. People claim that this is not the first time such an incident took place in Karachi. In 2018, the same kind of complaint against Delizia was reported.
