This degree is offered by Sciences Po Lille as reported by the New York Post. Sciences Po Lille is a prestigious university in France that has now found its way to the hearts of many. The degree is called BMV which is an abbreviation of Boire, Manger, Vivre (drinking, eating, living). Who knew that you could actually earn a degree for something that you absolutely love doing!

Details Of The Courses

It has further been reported that this degree covers interdisciplinary courses. These courses overlap with the culinary world and include food tech, labor, philanthropy, and gastro-diplomacy. Not only that, but the students also get a chance to attend conferences regarding food and drinks. In the meanwhile, they can also take courses related to farming, plants, and meat during this degree. This degree at Sciences Po Lille has 15 seats and received a total of 70 applications. This is the first time ever that people have come across such courses. Many are clearly unable to contain their happiness.

A lecturer from the university said that the 15 students selected for this degree will soon become “envy of their colleagues”. This is quite understandable as who wouldn’t want to live a life in which a major portion of your day will be spent eating and drinking?

Clemence Ricart, a student enrolled in this degree, while speaking to Le Monde newspaper said, “We had enrolled ourselves into this major without knowing what it was about, but it’s fascinating”. He further said, “It is a Master’s course that unites students around one passion, i.e.: the world of gastronomy and food”. Clemence also said that considering climate change, food is going to be one of the greatest challenges in the world. This degree will generate professionals which will help to deal with this major challenge.
