Pizza Hut Delivering order from India to Pakistan

Pizza Hut Spreading Love Across Borders

In this day and era, social media has become a vital platform in responding to crises or a plea. The pandemic has enabled us to unlock new ways to use social media to our benefit. The power to spread information in a short span of time has been able to save lives, help those in need, and as in this case deliver pizza to a friend across the border. Pizza Hut received an order from an Indian asking to deliver free food to a friend living in Pakistan.

Official Pizza Hut Tweet

On 25th December, PizzaHut tweeted that an Indian girl came forward with a request to deliver free pizza to a friend in Pakistan. However, they were only willing to do so if the requester was able to secure 3000 likes on the post by the following Sunday night. And to their surprise, the condition was fulfilled on the evening of the same day. To which PizzaHut had to comply with the request and highlighted the significance of Twitter (social media).

We can all agree that love for food knows no boundaries. The whole plot from the start to the finish is so wholesome and is the best thing on the internet right now.

Power of Social Media

We all know that India and Pakistan are always in conflict. But Social Media has been an absolute game-changer in these past 2-3 years. It is changing our lives and has empowered us to stay connected at all times. Having a platform, people are more vocal about their thoughts and feelings. Putting aside the hatred, many times we come across situations where borders and stereotypes don’t matter. Where people are connected through love and kindness. It is always heartwarming to see Indians and Pakistanis getting along on social media and this tweet is another one of those examples.
