Plant-Based Nuggets Shaped Like Endangered Animals

Impossible Foods is trying to make a bold statement with its new plant-based chicken nuggets shaped like endangered animals. This company is a plant-based food company that is trying to raise awareness about the loss of biodiversity. It is doing so successfully with its new product. After the dinosaur-shaped nuggets, the food company launched its new product “Wild Nuggies”. Wild Nuggies are shaped like Galapagos tortoises, black rhinos, polar bears, and whales. These new nuggets will surely leave the consumers thinking and that is exactly what Impossible Foods aims to do. All the chosen animals that are represented by the nuggets have been, in one way or another, affected by the global animal agriculture industry.

The concern of impossible foods regarding the environment and animal agriculture is not only limited to the shape of the product. As compared to the regular nuggets, these nuggets are prepared using 44% less water, and 49% less land. Moreover, the preparation of these nuggets is accompanied by 36% fewer greenhouse gas emissions.

The Aim Of Impossible Foods

This is what Laura Kliman has to say about this idea “Our goal is to spark a conversation at the dinner table about how our food choices impact our planet, and how eating plant-based is the best way for kids to help combat the urgent threat of climate change and nature loss”. The Director of New Product Development at Impossible Foods further says, “With our latest products, we’re showing kids and consumers that they can still have everything they love about meat, but without needing to consume any dead animals”.

Impossible Foods, in 2016, introduced a ground beef replica, the Impossible Burger. It was launched with a mission to disrupt the animal agriculture industry. After that, the launch of appetizing plant-based nuggets marked the entry of Impossible Foods into the plant-based chicken industry. The company launched its plant-based chicken nuggets last year which have been a great hit. The Burger King was among the first major fast-food chains that offered Impossible Foods’ plant-based nuggets on its menu.

The launch of Wild Nuggies by Impossible Foods is another step towards betterment. These efforts might seem inadequate at first but can make considerable differences in the long run. With the changing climate and loss of nature, the food industry must take the required steps.
