The national dish of Afghanistan, Kabuli Pulao is a combination of lamb and rice. Kabuli Pulao takes its name from the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul; a city famous for its warming and sweet spices. Unlike other foods, Kabuli Pulao is reserved for special occasions and thus, holds a very special place in the hearts of its admirers. The cooking process of Kabuli Pulao is a bit different from regular pulao given that the rice and meat are cooked separately to achieve its rich and smooth texture.
