Shanghai’s ‘Heavenly Jin’ Named As The World’s Highest Restaurant In A Building by Guinness World Record

The Heavenly Jin Restaurant, located inside the J Hotel Shanghai Tower in Shanghai, China, receives the title of ‘Highest Restaurant in a Building’ by Guinness World Records. The restaurant is located on the 120th floor of the Shanghai Tower and is 556 meters above the ground. The Shanghai Tower is the tallest building in China and the third tallest in the world.

Heavenly Jin Restaurant’s Details

Heavenly Jin, World’s Highest Restaurant in a building, offers spectacular views of the Shanghai skyline. The exquisite menu features a fusion of traditional classics with European, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine. Moreover, in the afternoon the restaurant also serves exceptional hi-tea to its guests.

Furthermore, Heavenly Jin has a splendid entrance. Upon entering, the diners are greeted with a 30-meter-long mural made of dozens of Italian mosaic tiles. Thus, depicting a scene from the ancient Silk Road. Adding to the surreal experience, the tables are set under a ribbon-like wave of crystal lights. In addition, the restaurant caters to 256 diners and has five private dining rooms. Also, it features an open kitchen that allows the customers to enjoy the chef’s cooking skills along with the breathtaking views.

Dubai Loses Its World Record

Heavenly Jin Restaurant breaks the previous record of the ‘highest restaurant in a building’ held by Dubai’s Atmosphere restaurant. Located on the 122nd floor of Burj Khalifa, it is 441.3 meters above the ground. Having been opened in 2011, Atmosphere Grill & Lounge had held the title for the highest restaurant for over a decade.
