After a whole month of restriction, the Sindh government has finally decided to lift the ban on indoor dining and events. Indoor dining is now allowed to people along with weddings and other gatherings. However, this is only permitted on the condition that they are vaccinated. The reason for lifting the ban is the decreasing Covid-19 cases in Sindh and all over the country. The positivity rate in Sindh is now less than 10%. That is why the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) decided to relax the restrictions. According to the newly issued order, an indoor gathering of 500 fully vaccinated individuals is allowed for weddings and any other functions. Contrary to that, for outdoor gatherings, there is no limit for the number of people. Both indoor and outdoor gatherings are permitted for fully vaccinated individuals.
With this order, comes great responsibilities for the managing bodies of restaurants and other gatherings. It has now become necessary to check the vaccination cards and restrict the entrance of anyone who is not vaccinated. Inside the premises of the restaurant, the Covid SOPs are to be followed by everyone. This includes the staff as well as the customers. Compliance with the rules will be checked at any time by the appointed government officials.
Despite allowing indoor dining, the Sindh government has still not allowed the serving of meals and beverages on flights or any other public transport. This restriction is expected to be lifted on February 28th.
Other Facilities
In addition to the restaurants, indoor sports, cinemas, gyms, amusement parks, and shrines are open for those who are fully vaccinated. For public transport also, only the fully vaccinated people are allowed. The passengers are required to wear their masks throughout the journey. The educational institutions opened in Sindh are also to strictly observe the Covid SOPs. It is necessary to take the preventative measures in order to stop the virus from spreading again.
