The famous fast-food chain has made yet another effort to grab the public’s attention and has been successful. McDonald’s comes up with new ideas for marketing and advertisement every now and then.  Sending out meaningless messages to get the customer’s attention is probably one of the most effective ideas that the brand has come up with. This innovative attempt to strengthen the relationship with customers is something that McDonald’s has tried before. The trick sure did work!

Some time back, the fast-food brand sent out a cryptic message to several Pakistanis that read “Podina Lay Aun??”. This message successfully achieved the aimed target of getting attention as the netizens openly voiced their excitement on Twitter. People came up with some interesting responses like: “When you’re so isolated that even @McDonaldsPK doesn’t send you the “Podina le Aun??” msg 🥺”. Also “What is wrong with @McDonalds Pakistan’s marketing tactics. Le ao bhae podina, pouch kyun rahay ho?!”

This time, the brand is intriguing the customers by statements like “Tumse na ho payega..” and “ Hum kehte hain sochlo? Tum se waqai nahe ho payega :p”. This is enough of a push for McDonald’s fans to wonder about what the brand is up to. What is it exactly that McDonald’s is challenging us to do? Unlike the previous message, this new statement sounds like more of a challenge or a task. In this time of the year where we’re seeing most of our new year’s resolutions going down the drain, this message is surely hurting our feelings.
