In the same event, Sony surprised everyone by unveiling not one but two versions of PlayStation. Alongside the standard disc drive version, there will be a digital edition of PlayStation 5 – A digital console without a 4K Blu-ray disc drive coming this year.
Pre-order Information | How to Pre-order PS5 in Pakistan
In the launch event, Sony announced that PS5 will be released during the “Holiday” period (between November and December this year). Despite Covid-19 affecting the global supply chains, Sony has reiterated that they are still on track to release PS5 during the holiday season. However, we’re at the end of August and Sony hasn’t provided any information regarding the PS5 release date and price of PS5.
According to the press release from Sony “There will be a limited quantity of PS5 consoles available for pre-order, so we will be inviting some of our existing consumers to be one of the first to pre-order one from PlayStation. Pre-order reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-serve basis, so once you get an invite via email, we encourage you to follow instructions and act fast”.
To get your shot at being able to pre-order PlayStation 5, you need to fill up the registration form. The selected person will be contacted via email with all the pre-order details. Each invitation will be open for a limited time so, selected people need to act fast if they want to get hands on the upcoming console.
PlayStation 5: Things you Need to Know
From the launch event, there are some things which we know and we thought that we should share it with you guys. Here are all the things you need to know.
- Specs: 8-core 3.5 GHz AMD Zen 2 CPU, 10.3 teraflop AMD RDNA 2 GPU, 16 GB GDDR6 memory, 825 GB custom SSD
- Key Features: ray-tracing, fast-loading SSD, 4K games at 60 fps, up to 8K resolution, up to 120 frames per second
- Release Date in Pakistan: PS5 is expected to be released between November and December 2020 in the US and other major countries. So, you can expect it to be released in Pakistan sometime between the second or third week of January 2021.
- Price: As mentioned before, Sony hasn’t revealed any price for the latest console. However, according to some sources, the PS5 price could be around $499 mark.
