Dua for the Last Ten Days of Ramadan
‘allahumma ajirni min al-nar’, meaning “O Allah, protect me from the fire (Jahannam)”.
The last ten days of Ramadan are believed to be the most important days in the Islamic calendar. The third Ashra of Ramadan is more significant and superior than the first two Ashras. There are many religiously important events associated with the last Ashra such as:
- Observing Lailatul Qadr: Lailatul Qadr which falls in the last ten days of Ramadan is a night better than nights of thousand months.
- I’tekaaf: Many Muslims observe I’tekaaf in the final Ashra to maximize their prayers and devotion to strengthen their taqwa.
- Observing Juma-tul-Wida: Juma-tul-Wida holds special significance in this holy month where Muslims offer special supplications to gain multiple rewards on this auspicious day.
