How Long is Ramadan?
The month of Ramadan can last for up to 29 or 30 days. The number of days in the month depends upon the appearance of the moon. If the moon appears on the evening of the 29th, it marks the beginning of the next month of the Islamic calendar which is Shawaal. Otherwise, the month of Ramadan consists of 30 days. The 1st of Shawaal is the day when Muslims thank Allah and celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
