dirilis ertugrul

Turkish series Dirilis Ertugrul is breaking records in Pakistan. Fans are in love with the show and its immensely magnetic cast of characters which keeps viewers hooked to their TV screens.

Hard work pays off and that is exactly the case with a good drama. The cast and crew of Ertugrul has put a lot of effort in the production and we can definitely see it on screen.

But we bet you didn’t know these 5 amazing facts about Ertugrul Ghazi. Read on to find out.

The Sources

Fans of the series will be surprised to learn that the actual source material behind Ertugrul was only 7 pages long. The writers had to do a lot of research to find out relevant and reliable sources regarding the historical figure and his age.

Intense Training

There was no way Dirilis Ertugrul could be filmed if it didn’t have action scenes. For the stunts and battles, the cast had to go through intense training sessions to master the art of mounted archery and sword fighting. A special team from Kazakhstan was hired to train the cast.

Engin Altan Düzyatan (Ertugrul) took horse riding lessons for 3 months and never thought he would be able to shoot arrows while riding. But surprise, he learned those skills and did a pretty impressive job.

Off-Screen Relationships

Actor Engin Altan Düzyatan shared in an interview that he did not only had to train physically but also studied the character of Ertugrul mentally and emotionally.

He spent a lot of time with the actors who played Ertugrul’s mentors in the series, to ensure that his relationship and chemistry with them would naturally come out on camera.
