9-year-old Raped and Murdered After She Goes Missing from Wedding

Yet another light was snuffed out by a child predator, when a nine-year-old child was raped and murdered in Natroppa. The horrifying incident took place within the jurisdiction of Hazro police station in Taxila.

A case was registered under section 302 and 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code and further investigation is underway.

Dawn News reports that District Police Officer Khalid Hamdani constituted different teams to arrest those involved in the heinous crimes of child rape and murder.

The child just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. The minor girl breathed her last in the Punjdher village in Natroopa. The victim’s father, Behram Khan informed the police that he had come to Punjdher village along with his wife and children to attend a wedding. At the marriage ceremony, the minor girl went missing.

The 9-year-old’s body was later found in an under-construction house near Chach interchange. Police reached the scene and moved the victim’s body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Following a medical examination, it was confirmed that the minor had been raped.

As per the new law whoever is found guilty of the sexual crime against the child will be publicly hanged. The move aimed to deter child sexual abuse as the issue continues to run rampant in Pakistan.

Such education would help children identify such dangers and flee such dangerous situations. There have been campaigns for LSBE education for children in the past as well.
