90’s Stars Then and Now: Heartthrobs Of Pakistan – How Much They’ve Evolved!

Some leading lads of the Pakistani industry, see how much they have changed over the years

Do you have any old pictures of yourself that you feel cringy about and feel like locking them away in a box away from everyone’s eyes? Well, don’t fret! We all had cringeworthy versions of ourselves, even our celebrities. Some leading lads that are now heartthrobs of Pakistan and have a major female fan following were also quite outlandish at a point in time! Take a look to see their then and now looks and how much they’ve changed over the years.

Humayun Saeed

Humayun is still on top of his acting game and going strong too. Saeed began his career as a television producer in the late 80s. His maiden production did not produce favourable results. After stepping into showbiz, Saeed’s powerful presence caught the eye of directors and he was cast in TV shows for acting roles. Later moved on to directing and producing too – creating quite a brilliant filmography over the years.

Aijaz Aslam

The brilliant Aijaz Aslam literally syncs his younger self. A throwback to an era when he was at the peak of success. We wonder what these two versions of him would talk about if they could really meet up like this. Aslam is best known for playing the lead in the drama serials Kashkol, which was telecasted on NTM in 1993 and 2003’s PTV’s Drama ‘Mehndi’. Aijaz Aslam is also a dress designer in the Pakistan show business industry.  Aijaz completed his degree in Fashion Designing before entering the media industry.

Fawad Khan

Fawad Khan referred to as “breathtaking” is another handsome acting legend whose fame flamed across the borders. Khan barely seems to age but gets hotter with every passing year. Here we see him posing with his much younger self, the noticeable difference being a very 90s vibe in the original photo. Fawad Khan began his acting career on the television sitcom, Jutt and Bond. He formed an alternative rock band, Entity Paradigm, with the show’s co-stars and began his music career as its lead singer. Later, he left the band to pursue a film career. Khan made his film debut with a supporting role in Shoaib Mansoor’s socio-drama, Khuda Kay Liye (2007), one of Pakistan’s highest-grossing films. He had his first success in the television period drama, Dastaan (2010), for which he received the Best Male Actor Award.

Fahad Mustafa

This is one then-and-now photo that really stands out from the rest. Somehow, the younger Fahad looks much more naive than the bad boy he looks like now! Fahad Mustafa was first noticed in Sheeshay Ka Mahal. In 2008, he ventured into television production. He is the current host of the well-known game show Jeeto Pakistan since 2014.

Faysal Qureshi

We’re not sure what Faysal Qureshi’s secret is, but this side-by-side photo of him seems to show his looks getting better with age. There’s no denying he’s magnificent and a brilliant actor. He first gained recognition for playing the leading role of Boota in the television series Boota from Toba Tek Singh (1999) and has now been a part of more than 200 projects. Later, in 2017 he worked with a production house Connect Studios and now he owns a film production house called “Faysal Quraishi Films”

Mikaal Zulfiqar

This then and now comparison shows that Mikaal Zulfiqar is another one of those frustratingly handsome men that just gets better with age. What a gaze! Arguably one of the best actors still has their spark alive. He appeared in a number of Pakistani television series. He has also acted in a few Indian films and is currently active in Pakistani films. He is one of the highest-paid Pakistani actors. Born in London, he moved to Pakistan and initially began his career as a model in the early 2000s. He made his film debut in 2007 with a Bollywood crime thriller.
