A COMSATS Islamabad student has reportedly lost his life, allegedly due to administrative negligence by the varsity. Inam Javed, a second-semester student from Business Administration (BBA), reportedly fell unconscious due to low blood pressure.
Sources say that an ambulance was not available on the campus, and that despite fellow students’ pleading; the management allegedly did not let in a car that could have transported him to the hospital, citing university policies.

The Comsats Student Body states:
“He felt severe pain in the chest, which resulted in his unfortunate death,” one of his class fellows narrated.
According to another student, they tried for 40 minutes before the Rescue 1122 helpline finally responded to their call for an ambulance. And, when it arrived finally, it is alleged that the security officials from the university didn’t allow it to enter and provide the medical support for the deceased student.
It should be mentioned that Inam had taken his last breath before the medical support arrived. He underwent into a cardiac arrest (heart attack) soon after suffering low blood pressure, sources say.
Massive Protests Outside COMSATS
A massive protest has broken out, and students are demanding justice for Inam.
Comsats students are now demanding justice for Inam. They blame administrative negligence, and are of the view that bizarre restrictions on students’ mobility caused Inaam’s death. They are calling for the accountability of those responsible for a precious life lost.
As of now, Comsats gates are sealed, and buses are not allowed to leave. The faculty and the management are locked inside the varsity premises due to massive protests.
