A unique wedding ceremony took place in Karachi yesterday. The groom came on a motorbike to take his newly wedded wife amidst the lockdown.
Just when we thought things are getting worse, some people are not letting it come with their life plans. On April 23rd, it was reported that a newlywed couple left for their home on a motorbike.
As we know that marriage halls are closed and there’s a restriction on large gatherings as well, this groom came for his Nikkah with only two witnesses.
The newly wedded couple was then seen leaving their in-laws on a motorbike. No decorated cars were spotted, no relative or close friends were seen except for the four individuals, and they still got married.
This tells you that marriage isn’t just about the material things. A simple yet peaceful ceremony is also possible. At the same time, the risk of spreading the virus was also low here. We can make an educated guess that both the groom and bride did their due diligence lest they infect themselves or their closed ones with covid-19.
Last month, a family of 9 individuals was infected with coronavirus after attending a marriage ceremony in Karachi. The carrier came from Saudi Arabia and was diagnosed with the virus. Due to her negligence towards social distancing, she infected a whole family.
