In Karachi, a family suffered a terrible tragedy as a young boy died under unfortunate circumstances. He along with another person got accidentally electrocuted due to faulty wiring in the area.
Constant load-shedding has become part of our daily routine. This mainly due to our country’s poor management of electricity – specifically due to entities like WAPDA and K-Electric. As a result, two innocent civilians lost their lives due to the negligent and irresponsible management of electrical infrastructure.

On Tuesday, two civilians were electrocuted as they became the victims of faulty wiring in the metropolis area Qayyumabad, Phase VII Extension. One of the victims was a young teenager who came to Karachi all the way from his hometown of Mansehra a day ago. The youngster came to the city to deliver his sister’s wedding invitations to family relatives. The wedding ceremony is just a few days ahead on August 22.
The 19-year-old has been identified as Faizan. The boy’s father, Fida Hussain, as well as the family, has been informed of the terrible tragedy.
According to the authorities, the teenager’s body has been transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) as part of the medical and legal formalities. Faizan’s uncle has already registered a case against the city’s power utility K-Electric.
The other victim of the terrible incident was 35-year-old Gulzar Khan, a local from the Quaidabad area. His body was also moved to the JPMC for autopsy.
