It’s a nice change to seeing the usual faces across all television channels. Here’s a list of some of these new Pakistani actors we want to keep seeing on-screen.

1. Hadi bin Arshad

You might recognize this actor from Teeli’s short series ‘Summer Love‘. Aside from that, he was a pivotal character of ‘Jehangir Sultan‘ in Alif.

We want to see more of this guy on-screen.

2. Ameer Gillani

This young artist made his debut in Hum TV’s  soap opera Log Kya Kahenge. Despite the sappy sob-story, the series got him enough recognition to make his way into Sabaat. This actor held the audience’s gaze despite some big names in the Sabaat cast like Mawra Hocane, Sarah Khan, Laila Zuberi, and Mohammad Ahmed.

Ameer Gillani might be the next big thing, as long as he’s given the chance to do so.

3. Sehar Khan

Despite always being a supportive character, this actress has quite a range on the acting spectrum. From the antagonist in Sanwari to a conflicted bystander in Girhan.

She’s currently featured in Hum TV’s Mushk.

4. Maha Hassan

Despite debuting with supportive roles, Maha Hassan has done justice to the calm and collected side-kick. We normally see the side-kick depicted as a dowdy fool who makes the protagonist look good, but that’s a done-to-death trope.

Maha seems to gravitate towards confident and level-headed characters as seen in Ishqiya and Nand.

5. Abbas Ashraf Awan

‘Atif’ in Sabaat is a character we hate with a passion, and credit for that goes to Abbas Ashraf Awan. He might also turn out to be a baddie in drama serial Qurbatain.

6. Fatima Sohail

She might not be new to the biz, but she only just made her acting debut. The Mazaaq Raat host made her acting debut as the antagonist in the hit drama serial Mera Dil Mera Dushman.

Fatima Sohail did a pretty decent job. Who else wants to see what her spectrum as an actor is?

This young artist made her drama debut as Irum in Hum TV’s Kashf. We’ve seen display complex emotions as the timid daughter, a supportive friend, naive lover, and now fierce sister.

Turns out talent runs in the family as her mother is a well-known Pakistani model who recently started acting.

8. Hareem Sohail

Another star-kid, Hareem Sohail is the daughter of actress Beena Chaudhry . While her mother knows how to dominate the screen, Hareem will get there with her mother showing her the ropes.

9. Mujtaba Abbas Khan

With his stellar looks, Mujtaba Abbas Khan immediately caught everyone’s eye in Tera Ghum Aur Hum. As the drama serial progresses we see the man’s got talent.

He really knows how to slide in subtle emotions like awkwardness and sarcasm mid-scene.

10. Durr-e-Fishan Saleem

We know this actress as the sister in Dilruba. She really transitions between the responsible sister and best friend for Sanam in the series. We don’t realize how pivotal this character is with how easy Durr-e-Fishan makes it seem.

She’s already bagged a role in ARY’s Bharas.
