Mindy Kaling Speaks Out About Post-Pregnancy Insecurities [Pictures]

Its called ‘postpartum pandemic fabulous’!

In an Instagram post sharing her cover for Vogue India, Hollywood artist Mindy Kaling shared her struggle to be body positive post-pregnancy. The Ocean’s 8 actress is known to be vocal about body image issues. Yet, even she can feel insecure sometimes.

Despite how stunning she looks just six-weeks after giving birth to her son, Spencer, The Office creator had her doubts.

“I was so excited to be asked to be the cover of @vogueindia’s December issue but seriously nervous because I would have to shoot it six weeks after giving birth to my son Spencer. I was not feeling body confident, and even considered saying no,”

Good thing other strong women swooped in to uplift her spirits. Now the A Wrinkle Time actress is glad she went through with the cover photoshoot.

“@katiegreenthal and Vogue surrounded me with talented and wonderful people, and now I’m thrilled I have these photos as a memento of this very specific time in my life. ‘Postpartum pandemic fabulous’ is what I like to call it.”

The Never Have I Ever creator remained tight-lipped about her second pregnancy and the birth of her son. The lockdown prevented the starlet from getting papped. So people only really found out when she broke the news in an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“I’m telling it for the first time now, it feels so strange. But I gave birth to a baby boy on September 3,”
