Monday turned out to be quite a nightmare for Special Assistant to Prime Minister and PTI leader, Shahbaz Gill. He was met with an unexpected incident at the Lahore High Court and was caught completely off guard by PML-N supporters. What followed was a lot of drama and action.

Eggs and ink were hurled at Shahbaz Gill upon his arrival at the LHC. He had arrived at the court to attend the proceedings of a case seeking a resolution to an FIR registered against a company. However, when Shahbaz entered the vicinity, a woman started throwing eggs at him.

Here’s what actually happened

Who is this woman?

The woman named Zarka Bibi is a supporter of PML-N and claims that she did the right thing. She said that she is not ashamed of her act and can even go to jail if needed however, she will not apologize.

How did Shahbaz Gill react?

Shahbaz labelled the incident as a reflection of PML-N’s foolishness. He later shared a tweet claiming that he is a soldier! SAPM even revealed that a group of journalists had already informed him about this ill move planned by PML-N.

Responding to media personnel’s inquiries about the unfortunate incident, the SAPM said, “I was pelted with eggs and black ink; it was the color of PML-N’s black actions!”

“They have now resorted to hooliganism,” Gill stated.

What happened next?

However, the story does not end here. On his way back, Gill was attacked once again by PML -N supporters. Shoes were thrown at the Special Assistant and a lot of chaos was created. Although police tried their best to protect Shahbaz Gill, the PML-N supporters got really aggressive.

Was this an act of revenge?

Some deem this incident as PML-N’s revenge. On March 06, their leader, Ahsan Iqbal had been attacked as well in front of the Parliament when the Prime Minister had to take the vote of confidence.

Now whether this was revenge or a conscious effort to spark chaos, the reality remains that such incidents set up bad precedence and should always be discouraged.
