Another day, another person thinks it’s okay to threaten women online. The latest target of such hate is model-cum-actress Sabeeka Imam.
The Sherdil actress shared bone-chilling threats she received in an Instagram story. Recently the supermodel posed for the digital cover of Sunday magazine. While the post garnered praise from most, one Netizen took it upon themselves to take their hate to another level.
Rather than just expressing disdain and moving on, the Netizen resorted to profanity and even threatened the Queen actor. This person threatened Sabeeka Imam with an acid attack.

The supermodel shared the violent message as an Instagram story as well as an Instagram post asking authorities to intervene.
“STRICT ACTION IS NEEDED @cybercrimewingofficial @ukinpakistan @britishcouncilpakistan @britishcouncil”
Aside from the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing, she also tagged the British Embassy in Pakistan and the British Council in the post.
Technically violent threats like this are punishable under the law since they are genuine threats. Since these threats were made online a plethora of cybercrime laws also apply to the situation.
Previously, Sabeeka Imam’s Sherdil costar Armeena Rana Khan called out such violent trolls that level threats against celebs. The Janaan actress did not hold back or mince words saying;
“Raaton ko po*n dekhnay walay Aur din mein tableegh kernay walay ab humein sikhain gay. (Those that watch porn at night and then preach in the day, will school us now.) Sados. Jaa ker kaam karo apna.”
Perhaps legal suits are a better course of action to curb such behavior. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
