One celebrity beef we never understood was the Sonya Hussyn – Faryal Mehmood feud. The two divas either didn’t acknowledge the other or made snarky comments.
Recently, in her appearance on TV One’s show ‘The Big Pick’, Aesi Hay Tanhai actress Sonya Hussyn addressed the feud with Faryal Mehmood.
Aside from letting the cat out of the bag, the Ishq Zahe Naseeb actress shared a new development. Both Sonya Hussyn and Faryal Mehmood are now on normal terms. Whatever that means.
Previously in her appearance on ‘Timeout with Ahsan Khan’, the Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida refuted even knowing about Faryal Mehmood. Now she explained how they didn’t know each other, but the Daasi actress gave her a warm hug when handing her an award during an award show.
“Yes, she hugged me, basically Faryal and I never knew each other personally, we just had two scenes in Farwa Ki ABC.”
So how did this feud even start? Apparently, it began when Sonya Hussyn made some not-so-nice comments about one of the Enaaya actor’s works.
“I always promoted strong-headed and women-centric characters, I also do such characters, once I was going for shooting, I just saw a billboard of a drama “Bechari Aurat”, which pinched me and I posted the status on Facebook that what kind of dramas are being made now a days, at that time I didn’t know Faryal is in the drama”.
Yet when the Sarab actress met Faryal in real life, the two hit it off.
“Yes, I was sarcastic on the name and type of dramas that were being made, but unknowingly, I wrote about it that too in general. Then Sohail Javed also commented and wrote about it, later, the matter was only discussed on platforms. I didn’t meet with Faryal after that but on awards’ night she was being so nice. If she would have not given me the confidence that night, I could have not spoken anything there. We really had a great interaction that evening.”
Faryal had previously mentioned how Sonya had fat-shamed her previously.
