Actress Veena Malik is not in favor of the Aurat March. The actress believes the women behind the movement are too dramatic and non-serious to raise awareness on issues women face every day.
It has been a while since we have seen actress Veena Malik in the news. Everyone in showbiz knows who she is. However, her work is often overshadowed by her personality as she is popular for being one of the most controversial, scandalous, and outspoken celebrities in the entertainment industry
Recently, Veena Malik shared her views on Aurat March. According to the 38-year-old TV personality, the annual event is “not helping women.” Veena sat down for an interview with FHM, where she discusses her views on the Aurat March.
“There are a lot of issues women face and those are serious issues. But what I feel is that Aurat March is not working on issues that are imperative but are focusing on issues that aren’t helping women out at all. They will [Aurat March] will probably attract controversy. They are not serious.”
According to Veena, there are several issues women face in society. From pay gaps and health problems to childbirth and more, Veena Malik believes these issues need to be highlighted more. The Rangeela star thinks the people behind Aurat March are not serious and all they do is go out in the streets and scream.
“You can help change constitutions,” Veena explains. “But you know what? When you are not serious, you go out on the streets and scream. Those who only make noise, rarely get anything done.”
