Much like very Pakistan Day, this year on March 23rd many public figures were handed civil awards. Among them were some Pakistani celebrities.
As customary Pakistan Day tradition, President Dr. Arif Alvi awarded various people with civil accolades for their contributions in different fields. The award ceremony took place in capital city of Islamabad.
Some forty-five recipients received an award from the President in nine different categories. These civil accolades included; Nishan-e-Imtiaz, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-e-Pakistan, Sitara-e-Shuja’at, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, President’s Award for Pride of Performance, Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Tamgha-e-Shuja’at, and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
Among the recipients were the prominent Pakistani celebrities such as artists, musicians, and more. Here is a list of the recipients from the biz;

It’s unfortunate how some of the artists that were finally given the recognition that they deserved are no longer with us. Yet, at the same time, it’s good to see veterans like Abida Raza Shahid being acknowledged.
