Yet again, another public figure is repeatedly being invited to talk shows despite their misconduct. In another instance, Hassan Nisar misbehaved yet again during a live news show.
The senior journalist caused quite an uproar on social media. He was part of the guest panel appearing on Geo New’s live show Report Card on Monday evening. In his appearance on a political talkshow with analyst Reema Omer, Hassan Nisar lashed out at her.
He really misbehaved with her. All that on live television.
The discussion centered around democracy in the country, when he lost his cool and started personal verbal attacks on the female panelist Reema Omer.

Of course, Netizens have many opinions about the situation. Mostly condemning this behavior.

Many are calling the outburst a national embarrassment and questioned why people like Hassan Nisar are invited to speak on national television when they have a track record of misbehaving.
I hope Report Card pays enough so Reema can avail therapy. Sitting in a mindless shouting contest between Hassan Nisar & Irshad Bhatti can have serious effects on one’s well being.

This isn’t the first time the senior journalist specifically targeted Reema Omar. Back in 2020, he made misogynist comments toward her during the same live show.

As per rules by the Pakistan Electronic media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), the responsibility to prevent such content from being aired falls of the panel producer of the program, as well as the program anchor.
Since PEMRA’s jurisdiction only extends to professionals behind content, not the guests, they are required to cut the feed and prevent degrading comments from going on air during the live show.
