Twitter is blazing with fury under the #ArrestQariAbbas trend. In a very disturbing video, a seminary teacher Qari Abbas aka Maulvi Ghulam Abbas Sehto caught on camera while molesting a 12-year-old boy at a mosque in Buddak village near Kandiaro. After his crime was discovered and he was arrested by police, it seems that now he was granted bail and is out free.
Will the public be able to push for justice for the little boy with this hashtag?
It all started when a viral went viral of a ‘seminary teacher violating a little boy‘ he was apparently supposed to be teaching the Quran to.

The outrage online led the mother of the boy to register an FIR against Qari Abbas aka Maulvi Ghulam Abbas Sehto. The FIR was registered at the Kandiaro Police Station in Naushahro Feroze District.

However, turns out the main suspect in a case of child rape has been let out on bail. It doesn’t make sense how the accused was granted bail by a local court.
According to Express Tribune, Kandiaro Police Station’s Station House Officer (SHO), Rehan Hussain Wassano said that they had reviewed the video footage of the incident and;
“the child was not raped. However, the accused was carrying out unethical acts.”
SHO Wassano revealed that they received this viral video footage from another student accusing Qari Abbas of rape. They did not act on that evidence since a formal official complaint was not filed. They only proceeded when the mother filed a complaint over the viral video.
“The student did not come to the police station to register a complaint against him. We will investigate the matter if anyone files an official complaint.”
The child had told the officer he was molested by Qari Abbas several times two years ago. He even told his parents. However nobody believed him at the time.
“I told my parents about it a couple of times, but instead of listening to me they beat me.”
The former student stated that he filmed the incident after he caught Qari Abbas in the act when he heard cries coming from the mosque.
Now Twitter is rallying behind the hashtag #ArrestQariAbbas to have the key suspect placed behind bars again for the safety of children.
