As people are irked by Imran Khan’s recent move, there are also fingers pointing at first lady Bushra Bibi’s close aide Farah Khan.
Allegations of corruption have been leveled against Farah Khan by the Opposition. Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Miftah Ismail stated that her handbag was worth $90,000.
When converted to the local currency that is an Rs16.2 million bag.
“Farah Gujjar, while using a Punjab government’s plane, had a bag that was worth $90,000.”
Amid all this, Geo News reported that according to sources, first lady’s friend and aide left Pakistan for Dubai on April 3, 2022.
These comments came as a picture of Farah Khan with her luxury handbag surfaced online. The PML-N leader alleged that the first lady’s close aide ‘took the money’ for the transfer of civil servants in Punjab.

While addressing a press conference alongside former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Miftah Ismail said that PML-N has been saying the same things estranged PTI leader Aleem Khan previously said about Farah Khan.
The former finance minister also dismissed the PTI’s statements that the first lady’s friend cannot be a corrupt person as she is just a regular citizen, not someone in a position of power.
“She can engage in corrupt activities because she is friends with the wives of public officeholders. She was someone’s frontwoman,” he alleged.
He then claimed that the former chief minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar was ‘also someone’s frontman’.
“When Aleem Khan claimed to inform Imran Khan about Usman Buzdar’s corruption but Imran Khan kept him, who was Buzdar paying?”
On the other hand, Netizens found that Farah Khan is the daughter-in-law of PML-N leader Iqbal Gujjar. So if there is an inquiry, it should extend to her father-in-law and husband.
