Religious scholars have strictly condemned the insensitive and disrespectful incident at Masjid e Nabwi, Madina. Abhorring the incident, Maulana Tariq Jamil stated that such irreverent behavior of people at Haram Sharif is certainly not acceptable in Islam.

Maulana Tariq Jamil took it to his Twitter handle and said

A riot of protesters disregarded the holiness of the consecrated site and heckled slogans against the Prime Minister and other government personnel who entered Masjid-e-Nabawi to pay homage at the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH).
The dissidents passed slanderous comments against Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb, and also attacked Jamhoori Wattan Party (JWP) leader Shahzain Bugti.
Following the occurrence government officials, religious leaders and Muslim around the globe have expressed outrage at the lamentable episode and fervently denounced it.
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman as well condemned the incident and said Haram-e-Medina is a place of respect for the entire Muslim Ummah.

“Speaking loudly in the mosque is against Islamic etiquette,” he said. “Whatever happened there today couldn’t be more insulting to the holy site. Those who cannot respect the sanctity of the house of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) cannot claim to follow his teachings.”
Aseefa Zardari also denounced the regretful event stating that
“The intolerance and divisiveness being incited by the PTI to sate [Imran Khan’s] inflated ego is leading Pakistan down a very dark path,”

Journalist Osama Bin Javaid termed the incident a
“planned protest by supporters of former prime minister Imran Khan.”

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail claimed that the event marked a
“new low in Pakistani politics,” deeming the act “beneath contempt and beyond shameless.”

PTI General-Secretary and former planning minister Asad Umar also urged restraint stating,
“we are aware of the grief and anger of the people, but we must respect the sanctity of the holy places.”
