‘Nachenge Saari Raat’ Singer Stereo Nation AKA Taz Passes Away

Stereo Nation singer Taz passed away at the age of 54 and fans can’t believe it. The R&B singer passed away on April 29, 2022 or 27th Ramadan.

According to reports, the Hit The Deck crooner suffered from Hernia and was due to have surgery two years ago. However, it was postponed amid the COVID-19 pandemic although the pandemic wasn’t the exact reason the treatment was delayed.

As his health kept deteriorating, Taz reportedly went into a coma. Then in early March 2022, he was out of a coma and showed signs of improvement. His family even released a statement at the time and thanked everyone for their prayers.

Tarsem Singh Saini, who goes by the stage name Taz or Johnny Zee is the pioneer of Punjabi R&B. He became an overnight hit in 1989 with his album Hit The Deck. Some of his popular hits include ‘Pyar Ho Gaya’, ‘Nachenge Saari Raat’, and ‘Gallan Gorian’.

He was a huge sensation across the sub-continent. In fact, he was among the most popular voices of party and pop music in the early 2000s.

 

The lead singer of Stereo Nation, the music act that was formed in the 90s, was in a way the face of the band. He also lent his voice to films such as Koi Mil Gaya and chartbuster Tum Bin. That is why even Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan is mourning the death of Taz.
