As word spread about Bollywood diva Mahima Chaudhry suffering from cancer, prayers are pouring in from fans.
It was actually Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher that disclosed the news. He encouraged the Pardes dive to share her cancer recovery journey. She revealed how she was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine check-up.
What was supposed to be a benign lump turned out to be early-stage cancer. Amid chemotherapy, she got a call from Anupam Kher offering her a role in his film. Apprehensive about being onscreen, Mahima Chaudhry accepted the role but wanted to wear a wig.
That’s when the Kaho Na Pyar Hai actor encouraged her to essay the role as she is, without a wig. The Dil Hai Tumhaara actress broke down talking about not feeling brave enough to act after losing her hair in chemotherapy.
She thanked Anupam Kher for giving her the courage to go through with the film without a wig.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher posted an Instagram video lauding the Dhadkan actor’s bravery in dealing with her diagnosis.
He captioned the video;

Mahima Chaudhry is now fortunately cancer-free and almost at the end of her cancer recovery battle. However, Anupam Kher encouraged Netizens to continue offering support.
