After shocking desi Twitter with his scandalous nude photoshoot, Ranveer Singh is now in legal trouble. As many as two petitions have been filed against the Simbaa star’s nude photoshoot.
The petitions have been filed with Mumbai Police seeking the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. Why? Apparently he ‘hurt the sentiments of women’ via his nude photographs on social media, an official said.
The complaint applications were submitted separately at the Chembur police station by an office-bearer of a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). This official is a woman lawyer, based in the east Mumbai suburb.
As per the NGO office-bearer, the Bajirao Mastani actor hurt the sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty. The petition sought an FIR against the Ram Leela actor under the Information Technology Act and various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The second petition filed by a lawyer, who is a former journalist, also caused the Gully Boy actor of outraging the modesty of women.
“We received applications from a person associated with an NGO and a woman lawyer on Monday in this matter. No FIR is registered so far. We are enquiring,” the official said.
