Rom-com What’s Love Got To Do With It? starring Lily James, Sajal Aly, Shahzad Latif, and Emma Thompson won the ‘Best Comedy’ award at the Rome Film Festival on Saturday.
British screenwriter, Jemima Goldsmith, who co-produced the film, posted pictures of herself and the team of What’s Love Got To Do With It? posing with the award on her Instagram.
The former wife of PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, looked gorgeous in an off-white trouser suit.

Jemima Goldsmith wrote,
We won (the trophy) for Best Comedy at The Rome Film Festival for our film, which I wrote and produced.
She humbly thanked everyone who helped her, including British filmmaker Ol Parker for being her mentor.
“Thank you Ol Parker for teaching me how to write a script,” she acknowledged.
“Thank you for the LOLs Emma Thompson, Lily James, Asim, Shahzad Latif, Jeff Mirza, Shabana Azmi, Sajal Aly,” Jemima added, extending her gratitude to the rest of the cast and crew of What’s Love Got To Do With It? including director, Shekhar Kapur.

About The Film
What’s Love Got To Do With It? is a heart-warming rom-com that follows the story of a filmmaker, Zoe (played by Lily James), who has a hard time finding her Mr. Right while experiencing bad dates. Meanwhile, her childhood friend and neighbor, Kazim (Shazad Latif), wants to follow his parents’ example by opting for an arranged marriage with a lady (Sajal Aly) from Pakistan.
What’s Love Got To Do With It? features a stellar supporting cast including Shabana Azmi, Asim Chaudhry, and Emma Thompson, and is slated to be released on 27 January 2023.
