Pak Bean Shares Message for Zimbabwe [Video]

The viral impersonator was accused by a Zimbabwe fan for stealing people’s money.

A tweep posted a video clip of Pak Bean on Friday, expressing his love for Zimbabweans after they accused him on Twitter of scamming them and stealing their money.

The desi Mr. Bean’s video came after the Pakistani cricket team suffered a shocking one-run defeat to Zimbabwe in the World T20i in Perth, Australia.

Pak Bean stayed in character and spoke in a typical Mr. Bean fashion. He said,

Hello lovely [people], this is Pak Mr. Bean. I love Zimbabwe, I love the people of Zimbabwe. The match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe was a tough one.

The video clip ended with Pak Bean looking at his stuffed teddy bear (Teddy) as if to hear what it said before he bid goodbye to the viewers.

Pak Bean (Muhammad Asif)

The Pakistani Mr. Bean (or Pak Bean) is a comedian by the name of Muhammad Asif. He is originally from Kharadar, Karachi. Asif became a viral celebrity due to his uncanny resemblance with the British sitcom character.

He was invited to perform at the Harare Agricultural Show by the Zimbabwean organization Splash Paints in 2016.

The locals mistook him for the real Mr. Bean, took pictures with him, and even gave him security protocol. Years later, after realizing that Asif is not the real Bean, a Zimbabwean fan highlighted this allegedly “fraudulent behavior” in a Twitter rant before the Pakistan-Zimbabwe game on Thursday.

Many Pakistanis blame the viral impersonator for the embarrassing loss. Even, the Zimbabwean President and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif got into a lighthearted Twitter feud because of it.
