Ali Zafar Voices Support for Struggling Pakistani Kickboxer Agha Kaleem

“We must value our national heroes”.

Actor and singer, Ali Zafar has pledged to support Pakistan’s struggling kickboxing sensation Agha Kaleem after a video of the athlete working at small dhaba went viral.

Just a few days ago, Kaleem’s plight went viral when a video surfaced of him seeking help from the government, journalists, and the general public. Despite his impressive record of winning multiple national and international titles in kickboxing, Kaleem had been struggling to make ends meet.

Ali Zafar, who is also a strong advocate for supporting sports and recognizing national heroes, shared Kaleem’s video on his Twitter account, along with a heartfelt message.

Zafar tweeted,

We must value our national heroes, especially those who’ve brought us international pride, and never abandon them. The sports mafias that hold back such talent should be eradicated.

The Teefa In Trouble star further pledged that he will support Kaleem financially, and urged him to “return to the ring and fight again”. Ali Zafar even suggested training with him for his next big movie.

Kaleem, who hails from Lahore, has won numerous national and international titles in kickboxing, including the Pakistan National Kickboxing Championship and the South Asian Kickboxing Championship.

However, despite his achievements, Kaleem had been struggling to earn a living, forcing him to take up menial jobs to make ends meet.
