Episode 46, which aired last night, left fans deeply disturbed and questioning the mental state of the show’s writers.
Under the hashtags #Meerasim (Meerab + Mustasim) and #TereBin, fans took to Twitter to express their outrage and disappointment with the direction the show has taken.
The episode featured a scene where Meerab slapped Murtasim after catching him in an intimate hug with Haya. What followed next was Murtasim locking the doors in a fit of rage. The disturbing scene caused a wave of backlash from viewers who found it unacceptable and distressing.
Adding fuel to the controversy, the teaser promo for the upcoming episode depicted a quivering and crying Meerab sitting on the floor next to her bed, leaving audiences to fear the worst. Meerasim was the definition of pure love. Murtasim to sabka favourite tha. Writer mam aapne kya soch ke samjh ke ye scene daale hai. Aapne Zara sa bhi khyal nahi kiya ki fans kya sochenge. To the writer of Tere bin- enjoyed by millions of people. To say ,”it just a drama,” downplays the importance of narrative. This story was being enjoyed by lots of people around the world. Sort of like escapism, loving the character of Murtisim. Main reason was him. Yes in the beginning of drama he is shown to slap Meerab but over saw the growth of this character. He was shown to be respectable, decent, loving towards Meerab regardless how mean, stubborn , rude Meerab was towards him .
Although a bit out of reality (in reality husbands wont accept something like that), but we saw Murtisim character accepting the marriage contract and sleeping awkwardly on a sofa. Didn’t force himself on Meerab. To now suddenly show him to supposedly do MR is just killing the character. What was the point of 45 episodes? Just shows that since it became so popular, for ratings and viewing figures , illogical twists have been added to prolong the drama. And if the writer justifies that it was a demand of the script or to show climax (after 46 episodes ), then it is just odd .demand of the script was to see Murtisim and Meerab patching things . Meerab declaring her love for Murtisim. If she had to slap, slap Haya. If this is how Nooran Makhdoom writes then not watching any more of her dramas. Would be waste of time. People start to like character be it in a drama or book.. or over time see character growth..to suddenly add a totally 180 degree change in characters and twists doesn’t make sense
Me and my family is greatly disappointed and disturbed on the last and upcoming scenes of the play. Please, don’t do that. You may show that it was Haya’s dream and when she woke up, everything was the same. Don’t spoil Murtasim ‘s character. People love him and the pure soul he possess.
