The ever-gorgeous Sonya Hussyn is flattered to be compared to the late Bollywood legend Sridevi.
The Gangs of Khorasan star opened up about being compared to renowned Indian actresses Sridevi and Priyanka Chopra Jonas during The Night Show.
Sonya Hussyn was asked about the frequency of being compared to international celebrities, particularly Bollywood A-listers. In response, she shared,
People compare me with everyone. It depends on whatever new get-up I do. They always compare me with someone. Nowadays, people say, ‘You look like Sridevi.’
The actress expressed her shock and flattery upon receiving such a comparison, acknowledging Sridevi’s unparalleled beauty. She continued, “They also compare me with Priyanka Chopra. And well, she’s beautiful too, but I like that comparison because I like her as a person.”
Sonya Hussyn conveyed her admiration for both Sridevi and Priyanka Chopra, emphasizing that being likened to them was a significant compliment. She stated, “She’s [Priyanka Chopra] an established and successful woman, but Sridevi is really beautiful. She’s very pretty, and it’s a compliment for me if people think that I resemble her.”
The actress humbly expressed her gratitude for the recognition and mentioned that she holds these renowned stars in high regard.
In addition to her discussions on the comparisons, Sonya Hussyn also shared details about her unconventional career choices. Breaking away from traditional heroine roles, she recently portrayed a boxer-turned-target killer in the film Daadal directed by Abu Aleeha.
In her upcoming drama series Gangs of Khorasan, she will be seen playing the role of a pixie-haired drug addict alongside actor Gohar Rasheed.
