Hira Mani Says She Cried When She Learned About Her Role in Teri Meri Kahaniyaan

‘I even cried cried before my first shot’

The talented actress, Hira Mani, recently made her debut appearance on the silver screen with her lately released film ‘Teri Meri Kahnaiyaan’, which is the first anthology film of Pakistan. Hira appeared as the mother of three in the film which was totally opposite role that she dreamt of for her big screen debut.

Talking about her reaction when she was first offered this film the actress shared that she got quite upset when she heard about her role in ‘Jin Mahal’. She said that she expected her cinematic debut to be more glamorous, but now she is so happy with how her character turned out and she’s very happy she did the movie.

She even revealed that she cried on her first day of shoot before going for her first shot and her biggest support system, her better-half Mani bucked her up and motivated her to show everyone what she got.

The Pakistani film industry released its first anthology film Teri Meri Kahaniyaan which comprised three short films called Jin Mahal, Pasoori, and Ek Sau Taeeswan. The film was released on Eid ul Adha across the UAE.

The film, directed by Nabeel Qureshi and Nadeem Baig, also marks the directorial debut of veteran actor and producer Marina Khan. The screenplay has been penned by Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar, Vasay Chaudhry, Ali Abbas Naqvi, and Basit Naqvi of Lal Kabootar fame.

Teri Meri Kahaniyaan boasts the most star-studded cast in recent Pakistani cinema, bringing international names to one screen. The A-list star cast includes Zahid Ahmed, Amna Ilyas, Mehwish Hayat, Wahaj Ali, Ramsha Khan, Sheheryar Munawar, Hira Mani, and Mani.
