British rock band Coldplay kicked off their first performance of 2025 with a heartwarming and unforgettable moment during their concert in the United Arab Emirates.
In front of a crowd of 45,000 fans, the band invited a Pakistani woman named Kinza onstage, recognizing her incredible journey of traveling 10,000 kilometers to see them perform live.
The emotional moment unfolded as Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin, spotted Kinza in the audience and called her to join the band onstage.
The gesture was met with thunderous applause from the crowd, as Martin explained the significance of her journey and used the opportunity to dedicate their song Everglow to the people of Pakistan, Gaza, the West Bank, and Iran.
Before performing Everglow, Chris Martin spoke about the struggles faced by people in Pakistan, Gaza, the West Bank, and Iran, dedicating the song to them as a symbol of hope and unity. He said,
This is for everyone back home in Pakistan, and for the people in Gaza, the West Bank, and Iran.
Martin also reflected on the “strange” and unsettling sights he had witnessed in Los Angeles, where he had flown from, referencing the devastating wildfires that have plagued the region.
