While everyone hated how Rubab (Naeema Butt) treated Sharjeena (Hania Aamir), Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum fans were happy to know the two were good friends off-screen, sharing cutsy moments on the set; or so we thought.

In a candid interview on Vasay Chaudhry’s Gup Shab, Naeema Butt revealed the less glamorous side of the entertainment industry, calling out the superficial friendships prevalent among actors, subtly criticizing her co-stars from the show for their insincere behavior.

Naeema Butt expressed disappointment over the disingenuous camaraderie often showcased on social media. “I have seen that people are just being fake friends for Instagram,” she stated, reflecting on her experience as a newcomer.

She initially mistook her co-stars’ online praise for genuine support, only to realize it was far from authentic. While she refrained from naming individuals, Naeema hinted at tensions, noting instances where co-stars, outwardly friendly online, attempted to overshadow her at public events, metaphorically trying to “push her off the stage.”

Her revelations have fueled fan speculation about behind-the-scenes dynamics on Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. Choosing discretion, Naeema Butt avoided delving into specifics, saying, “A lot of things happened, but I don’t want to get into it.”

Host Vasay Chaudhry validated her experience, noting that such competitive rivalries are common, particularly for newcomers, and often persist even among seasoned actors. “This competitiveness lingers between co-actors, even after 10 to 15 years,” he remarked.
