The young actors of Parwarish—Samar Jafri, Aina Asif, Reham Rafiq, and Abul Hasan—brought fresh ideas to Nida Yasir’s Good Morning Pakistan. While promoting their show, they discussed how parents can better connect with Gen Z kids in a lively and thoughtful chat.

Samar Jafri began, advising parents not to force their kids into things. “Pushing them makes them rebellious,” he said, suggesting parents explain things and give kids space.

Nida Yasir, a mother of two, joked that kids might just play video games all night if left alone. Reham Rafiq responded that teaching good habits early prevents this. “Trust your kids and let them learn from mistakes,” she said.

Aina Asif said Gen Z is more aware than past generations, often feeling anxious about exams. She urged parents to listen when kids share these feelings.

Hasan added that calling mental health issues “mental illness” can hurt kids and should be avoided. He praised Gen Z for rejecting unfair comments about looks or gender, which Yasir agreed is a good shift, noting kids sometimes correct their parents.

On bullying, Aina Asif said social media makes it easy to be unkind, but wise kids forgive mistakes. Hasan and Rafiq stressed that parents and kids should work together, understanding both are learning.

Hasan shared that he once judged his parents but realized they act based on their own experiences. These ideas appear in Parwarish, especially in Wali’s (Samar Jafri) clashes with his father over career choices. The drama airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:00 PM.
