India is Already Developing a ‘Operation Sindoor’ Bollywood Flick to Stroke Its Bruised Ego

If shamelessness had a poster.

As Pakistan and India move toward a ceasefire, India’s latest attempt to fuel anti-Pakistan sentiment through propaganda has drawn widespread criticism—even from within India itself.

The announcement of a Bollywood film titled Operation Sindoor, based on India’s recent missile strikes on Pakistan, has sparked outrage and exposed the cheap theatrics behind India’s war promotion.

The film, produced by Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films in collaboration with The Content Engineer, was unveiled with a poster showing a female soldier in Indian military uniform applying sindoor (vermilion) on her forehead—a symbolic gesture meant to glorify India’s May 6 and 7 missile attacks on Pakistani territory. These strikes tragically resulted in the martyrdom of at least 31 Pakistani civilians and caused significant damage.

However, the timing and tone of the film’s announcement, coming amid ongoing hostilities and fresh ceasefire talks, were met with fierce backlash on social media. Many condemned the move as an insensitive and opportunistic attempt to capitalize on real human suffering for commercial gain.

One social media user bluntly stated, “Stop embarrassing yourself and your country,” while another called the AI-generated poster “dystopian,” accusing Bollywood of “milking an ongoing war.” Others criticized Indian celebrities for remaining silent on the issue while profiting from the conflict, calling the film a “height of shamelessness.”

The backlash was so intense that the film’s director, Uttam Maheshwari, was forced to issue a written apology, insisting the project was “not for fame and monetisation.” Yet, the damage to India’s image had already been done.

This cheap propaganda stunt starkly contrasts with Pakistan’s dignified approach to the conflict, focusing on defending sovereignty and protecting innocent lives rather than exploiting tragedy for entertainment. While Pakistan pursues peace and stability, India continues to fan the flames of hatred through such divisive and insensitive gestures.

The people of Pakistan and many observers worldwide see through these attempts to manipulate public sentiment and remain hopeful that genuine peace will prevail over propaganda and aggression.
